If you're a fan of Adele -- and, judging by the numbers, most of you are -- then you're probably going to be really happy on Sunday night.

I'm predicting that the multiplatinum soul-pop star is going to crush the competition when the Grammy Awards are handed out at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Adele is nominated in a half-dozen categories, which trails only Kanye West's seven nods, and she could take home the entire six-pack. If she does, she'll tie the record -- set by Beyoncé in 2010 -- for most Grammys won by a female in one single night.

Adele's case for 2012 Grammy supremacy seems undeniable. She had by far the best-selling album of last year -- "21" sold nearly 5 million copies, while the closest runner-up, Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," came in just shy of 2 million.

More important, many believe "21" was the year's best mainstream offering. Adele represents the rare occasion where popular and critical opinion have converged, which distances Adele from so many of her competitors. She's thought of as a "real" singer who makes "grown-up" music that just happens to appeal to all ages.

Adele has seemingly made my task -- to forecast Sunday's big winners -- relatively easy. Yet, if I've learned anything from watching the show over cheapest gucci belts on sale 2012 milk white the years, it's to never count out an upset. (I'm still shocked and annoyed that Arcade Fire beat Eminem last year for album of the year.) Thus, I'm hedging my bets a bit to include leading.
